The Sathyamangalam Tiger Reserve provides basic and eco-friendly accommodation options for visitors, staff, and researchers. As a newly declared Tiger Reserve, most existing facilities are modest and managed by the Forest Department in partnership with the Tiger Conservation Foundation and Eco-Development Committees (EDCs).
All accommodations follow sustainable practices using local materials, solar energy, and community-managed services to minimize environmental impact while supporting local livelihoods.

Currently, there are a few old Forest Rest Houses (FRHs) within the reserve offering minimal facilities, primarily used for nature education camps, trekking groups, and eco-tourists:

Under the eco-tourism infrastructure plan, the following accommodation-related facilities are proposed:

Liquor, loud music, and plastic use are strictly prohibited within reserve premises
Accommodation closes during forest fire seasons or emergency situations
EDCs manage food and hospitality services, ensuring cultural authenticity and community participation

Separate residential quarters, dormitories, and family hostels are being constructed for forest staff to provide comfort, safety, and hygiene for field staff working in remote forest areas. Each unit will have basic amenities like electricity, clean water, and medical access.
